MSI Unveils GeForce 9600 GSO Graphics Card
MSI has just announced the new mainstream N9600GSO-T2D384-OC, a GeForce 9600 GSO 384MB graphics card.
Here’s what they had to say:
“MSI unveils the MSI N9600GSO-T2D384-OC graphics card based on the latest NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GSO GPU. The MSI N9600GSO-T2D384-OC offers a powerful entertainment experience designed for extreme high-definition gaming and video playback. The MSI N9600GSO-T2D384-OC is equipped with the special designed MSI Seaweed-Blade Fan for ultimate cooling. The new graphic card supports NVIDIA SLI technology, PCI-e generation 2.0 and NVIDIA® PureVideoTM HD technology. The MSI N9600GSO is equipped with an HDMI connector, the 96 processor cores support the resolution up to 2560x1600 to provide extreme high definition.”
This Overclocked Edition runs at 600Mhz core, 1500Mhz shader and 1800Mhz memory, which is a healthy increase over the stock specifications (550/1375/1600). However, it is surpassed by the
EVGA e-GeForce 9600 GSO Superclocked, which runs at 650Mhz core, 1620Mhz shader, and 1900Mhz memory. Regrettably, the 9600 GSO’s do not appear to be on sale yet, however the
identical GeForce 8800 GS is still available.
