ASUS & BFG GeForce 9600 GT Graphics Card Reviews
BigBruin, Guru3D, and TweakTown have reviewed GeForce 9600GT graphics cards from ASUS and BFG.
Let’s see what they had to say:
- BigBruin: ASUS TOP 512MB GeForce 9600GT Graphics Card Review:
“While the saying is that you get what you paid for, I think you might get a little extra with the ASUS TOP 512MB GeForce 9600GT graphics card. The card performs well in tests, the GPU doesn't get too warm, and the fan never gets noisy. The performance in 3D games should be more than adequate for casual gamers, but this card also seems well suited for multimedia enjoyment. In addition to staying cool and quiet, the ability to output audio and video over HDMI makes it a compelling choice for an HTPC.”

- Guru3D:
BFG GeForce 9600 GT OCX and 8800 GT OCX review:
“I'm not going to make a long conclusion out of it. I know quality when I see it. The OCX cards tested today both qualify as cards among the best we have ever tested. Though it would have been nicer to see a black PCB or something special, everything else is just top notch. Excellent thermal design, low temperatures while retaining a low noise level. A fierce standard overclock and next to that we were able to push both cards even further.
These cards are among the best in their class, that's a fact. The ZeroTHERM cooler solution does seem to do some magic as it works really well. Currently you can pick up the 9600 GT OCX for roughly 139 USD and here in Europe under a 100 EUR, and that's just good value.”

- TweakTown:
ASUS GeForce EN9600GT Matrix Graphics Card:
“ASUS has managed add a few nice little tweaks to the card to make it stand out compared to other 9600 GT cards that we’ve looked at over the past few months.
The cooler does a good job of keeping the card cool and it’s also nice to see that the promise of less power comes true with the ASUS Matrix using less power than the reference designed 9600 GT. Furthermore, even with the same clocks, the ASUS card is able to outperform the reference 9600 GT consistently under a number of tests.
If that wasn’t enough for you, the fact that ASUS have then thrown on an optical-out port alongside the HDMI one makes the card a perfect choice for people who want something that can do a bit of gaming while giving you the best possible image quality on your home theater PC.”

These three cards are arguably the best GeForce 9600 GT’s that you can buy, so definitely check out these reviews before buying another model(s).
