Genius Ergo 555 Gaming Mouse Review

Sat 2008-08-30 - Posted by Patrick "MACMAC" MacMillan
XSReviews have tested the Genius Ergo 555 laser gaming mouse, which features a 3200 dpi resolution.

“From the gaming test and in Windows usage, the Genius Ergo 555 Laser proved to be a very accurate mouse with the DPI set to 1600 – which is what I feel comfortable using. As well as this, its name ‘Ergo’ really rings true with it being extremely comfortable, hence ergonomic. Best of all, this mouse really is quite a big bang for buck product with it priced at just £25.

However, there are some slight issues with the mouse. Firstly, its Teflon feet, which must be the worst set of Teflon feet I’ve used, they’re quite frankly awful. Secondly, there’s a major issue with the software, it sometimes hangs and goes into a state where it becomes unresponsive – this is very annoying. Last of all, the buttons on the right hand side are a downright pain in the ass. They just seem unnecessary. Surely this mouse has enough buttons?”

A good mouse somewhat let down by some minor issues.
