Antec Signature Series 850W Power Supply Review

Thu 2008-09-04 - Posted by Patrick "MACMAC" MacMillan
ThinkComputers has posted a review of the high-end Antec Signature Series 850W power supply.

Here’s an excerpt:

“The Signature series is here to stay, that's for sure. It may not look like much, but the substance of it beats the style and substance of many of its competitors. Combine that with Antec's incredible 5 year warranty and excellent choice of Japanese capacitor and fan components, and the Signature series proves that Antec has established itself in the higher echelon of powers supply manufacturers.

However, the price of the Signature 850W is very high: $260 at NewEgg as of this writing. If you're looking for something to get you from point A to point B, you may want to look elsewhere within Antec's line-up, or check out one of the competitors' higher wattage but lower price units. However, if you want the highest quality parts and a personal assurance of functionality and efficiency, and do it with subtle style, the Antec Signature series is for you.”

Antec has done an excellent job with the Signature Series, and this really is a high quality power supply, but at $260 it’s very expensive for an 850W unit.
