Xigmatek NRP-PC501 500W Power Supply Review

JonnyGURU have posted a review of the mid-range Xigmatek NRP-PC501 500W power supply.

Here's what they had to say:

"The Xigmatek NRP-PC501 came looking to make a statement, and did. That statement is, "Look at me, for I am a halfway decent budget unit that still manages to bring some excellence in the form of better than average ripple suppression and very nice efficiency numbers." No, this will not compete too well when confronted by a good independently regulated unit like perhaps the Corsair VX550, but the reality is you could easily do worse than this unit if you're putting together a new system for your brother or sister that's just gotta work and work well. No fancy recommended logo on this one, but this unit still came pretty close."

This is a solid power supply, but it is not better than similarly-priced alternatives from Corsair, Seasonic, and Silverstone. Having said that, if you can find it for a good price, it is definitely worth considering.
