PC Case Review Roundup - Cooler Master, In Win, XClio & More
BurnOutPC, Hardware Secrets, Legit Reviews, OCModShop, and Virtual-Hideout have reviewed Cooler Master, GMC, InWin, nMedia, SilverStone, and XClio.
Here's what they had to say:
- BurnOutPC: In Win Matrix HTPC Case Review:
"The In Win Matrix would have been an ideal candidate for my new HTPC if it wasn’t for the doors not opening if laid down flat. The In Win Matrix is a stunning looking chassis. It’s a first for me to see a case that looks so refined on the outside. The In Win Matrix has some issues. I would have liked to the ability for the case to lie on its side. It would look marvelous underneath my television but I’m afraid it’s not possible. Unless you don’t mind that the doors won’t open. Overall a good looking chassis, again it has its issues but if you are in the market for a stylish HTPC chassis than this is one not to miss!"

- Hardware Secrets: SilverStone Fortress FT01 Case Review:
"In summary, we think this is a terrific product for the exigent user that is willing to pay more to have a top-notch case. The quality from FT01 is really outstanding and we’ve only seen this kind of quality before on aluminum cases above USD 300. Average users, however, may want to look into different products, like Lian Li PC-7F, which is also an all-aluminum product but costing USD 70 less."

- Legit Reviews: Cooler Master ATCS 840 Case Review:
"The Cooler Master ATCS 840 is an enthusiast-level case that may be large in stature but is also equally large in features, quality and usability. If you are in the market for a new case for your Christmas hardware goodies, I highly recommend giving this case serious consideration."

- OCModShop: GMC Noblesse AVC-K1 Multimedia Case:
"This case will be very appealing to the enthusiast who wants a modded case, but doesn't want to put in all that work. PC enthusiasts who prefer windowed cases or water-cooling features may pass on the K1, even though it has killer looks. PC enthusiasts usually spend an unusual amount of money on flashy heatsinks and RAM with blinky LEDs, and they want to show it off. These users will be turned off by the fact that the K1 does not have a pre-installed window, but could be challenged to add a window."

- OCModShop: nMedia 1000B HTPC Case Review:
"Overall the nMedia 1000B case is very nice. It has an attractive anodized aluminum front with many features you'd expect from a good Home Theater PC Case. The interal design is good, and minimizes hassles that come with compact cases. The front panel and LCD are easier to install than other HTPC solutions, which tend to use iMon. The one big feature that is missing is a volume control knob or front navigation buttons, which are starting to become standard on Media Cases."

- Virtual-Hideout: XClio 1000 Enclosure Review:
"Hopefully, the real life pictures have shown the XClio 1000 Enclosure in a better and correct light. It's a very functional and thermal friendly case which will further draw performance users like gamers. The great thing about the XClio 1000's light show is that it can be completely controlled which includes being turned off. You can enjoy the thermal performance of the fans and not have to have LEDs lighting up the room. Gamer's or enthusiasts will either love or hate the the look. But, with so much control and storage, it's appealing to file fiends. Now, if only something can be done about the price..."
