Keyboard Review Roundup - Enermax, Logitech, Rosewill

Tue 2009-06-30 - Posted by Patrick "MACMAC" MacMillan
Bigbruin, OCModShop, and TweakTown have reviewed a few keyboards from Enermax, Logitech, and Rosewill.

Here's what they had to say:

  • Bigbruin: Rosewill RKM-800RF Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Combo Review:

"As a whole, the Rosewill RKM-800RF wireless keyboard and mouse combo is a decent, solid performer. In a very crowded field of contenders, it doesn’t really stand out, and doesn’t draw attention to itself, but it performs admirably. If you are a hard-core gamer, or if you have large hands like me, you might want to try it before committing to the RKM-800RF. For 95% of the use of a keyboard and mouse, and for probably 90% of the population, the RKM-800RF will do the job. If you’re using a wired keyboard and mouse, and are tired of ‘doing the mouse hop,’ you should put this on the list to check out."

  • OCModShop: Enermax Aurora Micro Aluminum Keyboard Review:

"Since the keyboard frame is aluminum, it feels very cool to the touch, and my wrists never felt sweaty at all. Key travel is very short, much like a laptop keyboard, so your fingers never have to move very far, except when you're hunting down those special keys. The keys feel extremely solid , and the entire keyboard has good weight to it... almost as much as a full-sized keyboard.

I lost much of this article because of this keyboard. It is very easy to accidentally hit the wrong key, which I did on several occasions, which sent my browser Back, losing my unsaved paragraphs."

  • TweakTown: Logitech G19 Gaming Keyboard Review:

"Summing up now, we have the awesomeness of the LCD providing you with more geek than you could possibly imagine. There are a good number of applications out there and the ability to link up with Windows sideshow, while not totally amazing, does give good room for expandability.

The one thing I love about this keyboard is the ability to change the backlight colour to anything under the RGB rainbow! It really does make me grin wildly just playing with such a nifty feature.

Now for the bad news, I just plain have an issue with the price tag. It’s stupidly expensive for even the hardcore gamers out there who want it."
