Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3P AM3 Motherboard Review
Guru3D and PC Perspective have reviewed the budget-friendly Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3P AM3 motherboard, which is based on the AMD 770 chipset.
Let's see what they had to say:
- Guru3D:
"With Gigabyte's MA770-UD3P you'll gain every foreseeable and important feature that you'll need. You have plenty of connectivity, even stuff like optical TOSLINK output is supplied. I mean as such it's just an awesome little motherboard. Next to that it performs 100% as well as the 790 chipset, for which the motherboards start at 125 USD. And also overclocking wise, you'll have ever and any feature available much like the 790 series, including ACC control. To top it off, Gigabyte applied their UD3 strategy into this motherboard which amounts for quality components, more copper inside that motherboard which in the end offers great stability, thermals and lifespan.
It is rare that I am so impressed with what is to be considered very mainstream to budget hardware. Take this motherboard, pop on a 100 USD AMD Phenom II processor and the sky is the limit for very little money as you'll have an excellent performing feature rich PC for for little dough."

- PC Perspective:
"Most of the time, having dual PCI-E x16 slots isn't really necessary if you plan to only use one PCI-E slot. The same thing goes for RAM and other pieces of hardware. The UD3P's price might make some consumers think it's cheap so they will overlook it. But, we are here to tell you, this is a diamond in a rock's shell. It's features might not stand out at first, but once you install it and get it up and running, we definitely noticed the stability and performance was well beyond its modest price tag. The UD3P is a no-frills board that gives entry-level and mid-range PC users every basic (and sometimes more advanced) features that they won't see from any other sub $100 AM3 board currently available. It's truly in a class of its own."

If you don't mind making the switch to DDR3, then this motherboard is a tremendous value and would pair up very nicely with a Phenom X3 720 BE or one of AMD's new cheap and highly overclockable Athlon II X2 and Phenom II X2.
