ASUS Crosshair III Formula & M4A79 Deluxe Reviews
t-break and TechwareLabs have posted a review of two high-end AMD 790FX motherboards from ASUS, the Crosshair III Formula and M4A79 Deluxe.
Let's see what they had to say:
- t-break: ASUS Crosshair III Formula AM3 Motherboard Review:
"The Asus Crosshair III Formula is loaded with great features and also ships with supplied software, which helps the user configure the board and monitor it without any trouble.
As far as performance is concerned the motherboard performed very well when compared to its competitors. We also managed to overclock the board’s FSB to 260 using automatic settings and, going the manual route, we think it has got tons of overclocking potential.
It sells for US $199.9 online or AED 910/- in the local U.A.E market which is a bit pricey but worth the features it brings with itself."

- TechwareLabs: ASUS M4A79 Deluxe AM3 High Performance Motherboard Review:
"The ASUS M4A79 Deluxe doesn’t have a safe guard built in to prevent you from burning up your processor, RAM, or graphics card, but it does have the ability to granularly increase/decrease voltages at a .0125volts adjustments which allows you to find the right voltage for all the peripherals your rig holds today and tomorrow. So, if your a gamer looking for your next motherboard and would like to get into overclocking the ASUS M4A79 Deluxe has plenty of tools to assist you with optimizing your system. If you’re an extreme PC system user and are looking for a new motherboard which provides you the ability to tweak to the Nth degree, you should really take a close look at the ASUS M4A79 Deluxe for your next rig. We feel the ASUS M4A79 Deluxe deserves the Awesome Hardware award for design an implimentation geared towards the highest in performance for the most demanding users all the way to the casual consumer."
