Noctua CPU Cooler Review Roundup
Hardware Secrets, Tweaknews, and Verdis Reviews have reviewed CPU coolers from Noctua.
Here's what they had to say:
- Hardware Secrets: Noctua NH-U12P CPU Cooler Review:
"Noctua NH-U12P is a CPU cooler with excellent performance, being also very quiet. Its performance was compatible to some of the best coolers we tested, like Thermaltake TMG-IA1, and does not keep it behind even to Cooler Master V10. In terms of noise level, it was also one of the quietest in our recent reviews.
Its general looks is also very cool, with its solid aspect and robustness notewhorty. Its fins are thicker than in most cooler, and they are not sharp. In few words: it is a high quality cooler."

- Tweaknews: Noctua NH-U12P SE1366 Special Edition Intel i7 Cooler Review:
"Seeing this is my first foray into cooler testing in over five years, it suited the occasion to test Noctua's flagship product and see just how it performs. The NH-U12P SE1366 for the money has a lot going for it. Although it is not THE best performing i7 cooler on the market, with its price almost half of the elite competition seen today, its bang for the buck value overshadows the 1-2 degree difference in load temperatures. The build quality is good, the hardware kit is beyond complete and will handle any i7 processor in stock or overclocked form with ease. Remember, I tested this one with one of the hottest i7 models available with a 130watt heat output and this cooler handled it perfectly fine."

- Verdis Reviews: Noctua NH-U9B CPU Cooler Review:
"Noctua has impressed us no end here at Verdis Reviews with their consistent high quality and performance coolers. In this regard the NH-U9B is no different achieving some very solid temperatures despite the smaller build making it ideal for HTPCs and other smaller chassis.
The noise levels aren’t quite as good as the NF-P12 but not too bad and in any case the LNA and ULNA adapters can drop down the fan speeds and noise.
If only the price was a little lower? Yes, Noctua do charge a premium for their products but at least they really are the cream of the crop and in my opinion well worth the little extra as in effect you are getting three products in one: the NT-H1 paste, the NF-B9 fan and the heatsink – great job Noctua!"

The Noctua NH-U12P SE1366 is one of the very best CPU coolers for Core i7 LGA1366 processors, and with Noctua free a LGA1156 mounting kit, it's a solid purchase for those planning to go the Lynnfield route.
