XFX Radeon HD 4800 & HD 5700 Series Reviews
Benchmark Reviews, Hardware Secrets, and Legit Reviews have reviewed various Radeon models from XFX, namely the HD 4890, HD 5750, and HD 5770.
Let's see what they had to say:
- Benchmark Reviews: XFX Radeon HD5750 Video Card Review:
"The XFX Radeon HD5750 earns a Silver Tachometer Award, because it fills an important slot in the graphics card middle ground. With the launch of Windows 7 and its DirectX 11 interface, anyone wanting to take advantage of the advanced features becoming more prevalent in the next 4-6 months needs new hardware. If you're shopping in this price range, this is the only card to get; every other choice is going to cost more or do less. I was a little disappointed that XFX didn't include a coupon for DiRT 2, as some other ATI partners are doing; it's one of the DirectX 11 titles I'm most looking forward to. "

- Hardware Secrets: XFX Radeon HD 5770 Video Card Review:
"During our tests Radeon HD 5770 showed to be between 7% and 31% than its “economy” version, Radeon HD 5750, depending on the resolution, game and image quality settings.
Radeon HD 5770 was also faster than Radeon HD 4870 on scenarios that high-performance is needed, especially on Crysis Warhead (30% - 48% faster) and Far Cry 2 (144% - 172% faster) with image quality settings maxed out. On other scenarios both cards achieved the same performance level or Radeon HD 4870 was a tiny bit faster (up to 6%)."

- Legit Reviews: XFX Radeon HD 4890 1GB Video Card Review:
"All in all, the XFX Radeon HD 4890 is a solid card that can still provide an incredible gaming experience at a reasonable price. While it may not be the latest and greatest, it gets the job done for much less money."

The Radeon HD 5700 series is obviously a great intro to the world of DX11 and EyeFinity. However, I have been seeing a slew of dirt cheap GeForce GTX 260 216SP cards lately, and they ultimately offer the best price/performance ratio in the mainstream segment.
