NZXT Panzerbox Case Reviews
Metku, Overclockers Online and Virtual-Hideout have reviewed the NZXT Panzerbox, a compact aluminium mid-tower case.
Here's what they had to say:
- Metku:
"The main impression I had after reviewing the case was, that it sure is nice to see something out of ordinary every now and then. NZXT took a bold step by revamping the internal layout, and the layout of the Panzerbox sure has some merits. It also did well in our temperature tests.
Unfortunately, though, the good temperature results came due to the extremely powerful and noisy fans. A built-in fan controller would add real value to the package. Another downfalls include the lack of dust filtration and the relatively small number of drive bays for a case this size. It is, after all, a pretty tall and very, very wide case. The basic layout is nice, but it just needs a bit more work."

- Overclockers Online:
"I've always been a fan of innovative designs and therefore, I really like the NZXT Panzerbox. Though it is a performance-oriented case, with its two 190mm fans and vented structure, it still looks good. I particularly enjoyed the fact that installation is made very simple due to the removable motherboard tray, copious amounts of interior room, and thumbscrews everywhere. The build quality is also very good and the case feels sturdy yet manages to have a low weight.
The only thing I would add to the Panzerbox is the ability to control fan speeds. As it comes, the fans are very loud. Though they do their job well, the noise level is a bit high. If the user could control the fan speeds, it would be great."

- Virtual-Hideout:
"As stated earlier about the high noise coming from the high output fans, you could go with a combination similar to below. This is the Panzerbox with their new Sentry LX fan controller however notice how it uses 2 of the 3 optical bays. If this is too much for you, you could try the single bay Sentry 2 shown here.
The NZXT Panzerbox is an impressive case that is well designed, well built and certainly well cooled. It's a perfect sized case for the majority of users out there looking for something smaller than those 50lb. monster cases, yet still use their high performance hardware. The all aluminum construction, light weight and solid build quality should put the NZXT Panzerbox on your very short list when you're shopping for your next mid tower case."

Once you swap out the stock fans, this is very good case, it's quite affordable too.
