Gigabyte P55-UD6 Motherboard Reviews

iXBT Labs and X-bit labs (twins seperated at birth?) have both reviewed the high-end Gigabyte P55-UD6 motherboard, which is based on the Intel P55 Express chipset, supports LGA1156 processors, and features a unique sxi-slot memory layout.

Here's what they had to say:

iXBT Labs:

"So why the Gigabyte GA-P55-UD6? It looks like a perfect example of the principle "make it glossy no matter the cost". It's a perfect choice for users who want the ultimate motherboard. Or at least to dream about one. Besides, such models in product ranges of any manufacturer are necessary to show off their engineering skills to create bleeding-edge devices. Devices to amaze people.

Indeed, Gigabyte succeeded to do it here. We've seen many High-End motherboards, but the GA-P55-UD6 still managed to impress us. So engineering efforts (and the skill to combine incompatible things, such as LGA1156 and six memory slots) definitely deserve an award -- this motherboard really has an original design."

"They have all the features that we have been raving about over the past few years, they even acquired a few additional ones. Gigabyte mainboards are just as good, and that is the problem, because they are the same and Asus mainboards have just got better. But nevertheless, a number of really unique features, like the ability to connect up to 12 SATA hard drives, will ensure that Gigabyte GA-P55-UD6 solution finds its niche and its customer."

No matter how you slice it this is one of the most unique P55 motherboards on the market, and if you connectivity and system memory galore, it is your best option.
