Gaming Mousepad Reviews - Cooler Master & XTracPads

Mon 2009-11-02 - Posted by Patrick "MACMAC" MacMillan
eTeknix and Overclockers Online have reviewed two gaming mousepads from Cooler Master and XTracPads.

Here's what they had to say:

  • eTeknix: XTracPads Ripper XXL Mousepad Surface Video Review:

"It seems that gaming has gone to a new level. Especially when people stop buying mouse pads, and start buying desk pads. It seems we have the need for something that our keyboard and mouse both sit on, and to be honest, i get it. I’m a bloke, so the bigger the better, and it doesn’t get much bigger than the Ripper XXL from XTracPads. With it’s rubber backing and soft, comfortable textile material. It is the perfect home for your mouse to glide across. The only problem i can see is that, whilst a lot of retailers stock various products in this range, none in the UK seem to stock any XTracPads products, let alone the Ripper XXL, but there is a market for it, and i hope XTracPads realise this and that’s why i’m giving it 3 out of 5 stars."

  • Overclockers Online: CM Storm CS-S Battle Pad H2 Review:

"Cooler Master is continuing to grow its stable of gaming products under the CM Storm franchise and continuing to impress me with those products. The CS-S Battle Pad is great for the gamer on the go as its smaller size allows for easy storage and transport.

There really aren't any disadvantages that I can think of other than it seems to pick up dirt rather easy. However the Battle Pad cleans up easily so this really isn't too large of a concern. I can't fault the small size since there is a larger size for those that want it.

I was impressed by the cases that first rolled out of the CM Storm labs and so far the rest of the gaming gear is top notch as well."

The Cooler Master is a good choice for those attending LAN parties, and the huge XTracPads is great for your at-home gaming setup.
