Corsair Hydro H50 CPU Liquid Cooler Review

Wed 2009-11-11 - Posted by Patrick "MACMAC" MacMillan
TweakNews have posted a review of the Corsair Hydro H50, a self-contained liquid cooling system.

Here's what they had to say:

"While the cooling performance isn't earth shattering when compared to higher end liquid cooling systems, the H50 is also a fraction of the cost. This leads us back to the air vs. liquid cooling adage I mentioned earlier. The performance data seem to support the conventional wisdom that low end liquid cooling is no better than high end air cooling, but with the H50 coming in at around $70 US, it becomes much more attractive. For the same money, the H50 will perform as well or better than top of the line air coolers (though not by much,) is just as easy to install (in most cases) and provides some very quiet cooling performance in the bargain. Corsair also backs the H50 with a two-year warranty to give the consumer a little peace of mind."

This is effectively a slightly tweaked Asetek Low Cost Liquid Cooling (LCLC), but with substantially better performance and at a great new price.
