Gigabyte G41M-ES2L LGA775 Motherboard Review
Hardware Secrets have posted a review of the budget-oriented Gigabyte G41M-ES2L, an mATX LGA775 motherboard that is based on the Intel G41 chipset, which features the Intel GMA X4500 IGP.
Here's what they had to say:
"G41M-ES2L is a typical Gigabyte value motherboard. It incorporates very useful technologies like dual BIOS, high quality components on the CPU voltage regulator, power saving feature, high overall quality and a competitive price. Actually, it is the replacement of G31M-ES2C we talked about a few months ago.
It has some drawbacks, however: mainly the absence of indvidual audio outputs and a digital audio output, which is inexpensive but would open new usage options for this motherboard. An HDMI output is also currently desirable, with HDTVs being more common every day, but unfortunately this feature is not common in the value segment yet."
Although marketed as an mATX motherboard, this model is actually 2 inches narrower than the Micro-ATX form factor. Based on user reviews, this is a very well regarded LGA775 motherboard, and it's a solid choice for a budget system since it does come with an integrated graphics processor.
