Seagate FreeAgent Go 640GB & 1TB USB Hard Drive Reviews
Benchmark Reviews and Bigbruin have reviewed the Seagate FreeAgent Go 2.5" USB hard drive, in 640GB and 1TB capacities.
Let's see what they had to say:
- Benchmark Reviews: Seagate FreeAgent Go 640GB External Hard Drive:
"The 1TB Seagate FreeAgent Go USB hard drive can be purchased from many retailers, including Newegg.com, starting at just under $200 (US). While the price is high compared to other 1TB external hard drives, almost all of the other options will be larger, heavier, and perhaps require an external power source. The main competition would be a Western Digital Passport, which is also available as a 2.5" 1TB drive. The price on the Passport is also just under $200, but one key difference is that Seagate offers a 5-year warranty, while Western Digital offers a 3-year warranty.
This drive has pretty much everything you can ask for... a great design, high capacity, easy portability, doesn't require external power, and of course there is Seagate's 5 year warranty. With everything that the FreeAgent Go 1TB USB hard drive has going for it, I have to give it the Bigbruin.com "Recommended" award!"

- Bigbruin: Seagate FreeAgent Go 1TB USB Hard Drive:
"Overall, I really enjoyed testing and using the Seagate FreeAgent GO 640 GB USB 2.0 drive. It is a great drive, and very reliable. The peformance meets the standard and the appearance, construction, and functionality exceed the standard. One thing I really like about the FreeAgent go is that it has pleased my wife and meets the needs of my family in our increasingly digital lifestyle. Just the fact that my wife allows the FreeAgent GO to stand on our entertainment center next to the fru-fru she puts in is saying a lot."

With its compact size and cool activity lights, the FreeAgent Go series has proven extremely popular among consumers and it has gotten very high marks from them.
