"Good things come in small packages and the QNAP TS-259 Pro is exactly that. You shouldn’t be fooled by the small footprint. Packed inside this small chassis is a very powerful dual core Intel Atom processor with 1GB of memory. The result is a powerful server capable of RAID 1 performance with little overhead loss or a lightning quick RAID 0 configuration. If you’re strictly concerned about numbers, the TS-259 Pro will easily put up 100MB/s+!

The high performance of the TS-259 Pro Turbo NAS device doesn’t come cheap. Currently priced at just under $600 without any hard drives, it literally is the price of a small computer."

This is without a doubt the best 2-bay NAS on the market, but you are definitely paying a premium for that top-notch performance.
