Nexus RX-5300 & RX-5300 Power Supply Reviews
PureOverclock and XtremeComputing have reviewed two Nexus RX-series power supplies, in 530W and 630W form.
Here's what they had to say:
- PureOverclock: Nexus RX-6300 Power Supply:
"The Nexus RX-6300 is a great power supply that features tasteful aesthetics, low noise levels, and solid performance in achieving 80PLUS Bronze status. From a feature standpoint, the accessories included in this package aren't anything unique, but there is a good assortment of sleeved modular cables and an easy-to-use modular connection that is colour-coded and labeled for novice system builders. The cables lengths are acceptable, but may pose problems if you have a bottom-mounted full tower case and try to route the cables behind the motherboard tray and out of sight."

- XtremeComputing: Nexus RX-5300 530W PSU Review:
"No surprise really but the Nexus RX-5300 is another top notch power supply. Everything my test system could throw at the RX-5300 was water off a ducks back and I have no doubt systems quite a bit more power hungry would see the same effect too. In use it is effectively silent, I cannot hear it over the rest of the fans in my set up and as mentioned before the fans in my test rig are by no means loud. The RX5300 is quite pleasing on the eye though the pattern on the braiding will no doubt not appeal to everyone.
The cheapest I could find the RX-5300 at the time of writing this review was around £80, this may sound a lot BUT it is modular, which always adds a bit extra and it is a high quality power supply and you get what you pay for and is priced competitively the competition."

These Nexus RX power supplies really seem to be designed for low noise operation, and they do excel in that regard. However, the 2-year warranty is a little disappointing.
