Seven-Way 600W Power Supply Roundup
Madshrimps have tested and compared seven 600W power supplies from Enermax, Nexus, Scythe, and Sharkoon.
Here's an excerpt:
"The high price for the Zalman was kind of expected, scoring great in all tests I think it's the probable the best unit in this round-up, but it comes with a higher price though. The OCZ unit which didn't score that well from time to time comes out as most affordable, if you're not a very demanding person you could either go with the OCZ or Nexus PSU but then you'll have to agree with more noise, shorter cables and less connectivity, I'd rather suggest the CoolerMaster SilentPro M600 as it has a very decent price/quality ratio. Sharkoon has a great offering too but our test sample went out near the end of our review without reason so I'm not 100% sure what to think of it, and it comes with shorter cables. At nearly the same price as the CoolerMaster unit Scythe also has a nice offering, internally it is nearly the same as the OCZ unit though and we found the 12V rail design not that well explained so might be a little overpriced plus it failed in one of our safety checks."
If you're in the market for a good mainstream PSU, then this is an article worth looking at.
