MSI Big Bang XPower LGA1366 Motherboard Reviews
OCIA and TechwareLabs have reviewed the MSI Big Bang XPOWER, an Intel X58 LGA1366 motherboard that supports both SATA 6Gb/s and USB 3.0 and features an impressive 6 PCI-E x16 slots.
Let's see what they had to say:
- OCIA:
"For those overclockers that like other overclocking options besides the BIOS, this board takes care of you. The OC Genie is a one-second overclocker, just push the button to activate the onboard chip. And if you prefer overclocking in the BIOS, it is organized fairly well, and is stable enough to get excellent overclocks with most settings on “Auto”.
The board sells for $279.99 after rebate at my favorite online retailer. You can spend more than that for an upper-end X58 board… a lot more. And I really don't think it will be better built or have better features than the XPower. The MSI Big Bang XPower earns the OCIA.net Gold Seal of Approval."

- TechwareLabs:
"It’s refreshing to see a product walk through our doors and actually be worth every penny. The overclocking capability is fantastic. The board practically begs to be overclocked. You can pick up this beauty for around $300, which is right in line with other enthusiast boards. The BIOS needs a little polishing, but MSI is working diligently on this. Will you ever use 6 graphics cars at once? Probably not, but it’s nice to know you have the option to. This is one of those motherboards that will help you get the most out of the rest of your machine, which is why it’s an awesome piece of hardware."

This definitely seems like a serious contender in the enthusiast X58 motherboard realm, especially if you need those six PCI-E x16 slots.
