Axle Radeon HD 5670 1GB GDDR5 Graphics Card Review

Thu 2010-07-29 - Posted by Patrick "MACMAC" MacMillan
X-bit Labs have posted a review of the Axle Radeon HD 5670 1GB GDDR5, a budget-oriented graphics card.

Here's what they had to say:

"The card from Axle is a good product overall. It is very quiet. You can only hear it by pressing your ear against the system case. The massive heatsink and large fan are a winning combination for low-end graphics cards like those based on the AMD RV830 Redwood processor. The Axle Radeon HD 5670 is just as good as the earlier tested Gigabyte GV-R567OC-1GI and has the same highs and lows. The choice depends on your personal preferences. You should only keep it in mind that, whatever the manufacturer may say, the Radeon HD 5670 is not a true gaming card, even though it will be a perfect solution for a multifunctional HTPC that may be occasionally used for running some simple games."

This card is as good as any other Radeon HD 5670 GDDR5 on the market, but obviously you might have a little difficulty finding the Axle brand for sale.
