PCMark for Android benchmark for smart phones and tablets

Last year we announced that we would bring PCMark to Android and iOS. Today, PCMark for Android is ready, and we're inviting select members of the press to try it out before its public release next month.

PCMark for Android - A better benchmark for smart phones and tablets

  • Measure the performance of the whole device, not its isolated components.
  • Tests based on everyday activities, not abstract algorithms.
  • Scores reflect real-world performance, not unachievable maximums.
  • Tests use real applications and native APIs whenever possible.
  • A guide that tells you what is being measured and how scores are calculated.

This first release includes the Work benchmark, which can be used to measure both performance and battery life. Use the Work benchmark to see how well a device handles common productivity tasks such as browsing the web, watching videos, working with documents, and editing photos.
