SPMark Help

Congratulations on obtaining SPMark, the smartphone benchmark. By reading these help files, you’ll learn how to fully use the program and what the tests in SPMark do.

Note that the topics here are for the complete, Professional Edition of the product, and not all features are available in the free version.

Options menu

The options menu is available by pressing the "Options" key. The items in the menu are:

• Run All Tests

  This selection runs all the tests in SPMark and outputs the SPMark score, the SPMark 3D Score and the SPMark System Score. Please see details of the tests in the Tests section of this help.

• >Run Set >

  This view expands for the selection of different preset test suites; "3D Tests", "System Tests", and "Custom". Selecting one of these runs the respective test suite and outputs the respective scores for 3D and System Tests.

  The 3D Test suite consists of 3D Game, 3D FillRate and 3D PolyCount tests.

  The System Test suite consists of 2D Image, Image Scaling, JPEG Encoding, Contacts, Calendar and Disk Access test.

  Selecting "Custom" opens a new screen where you can select the individual tests you want to run. See the "Custom test suites" section of the help for more detailed instructions and the "Tests" section for descriptions of the tests. Note that you don’t get a score for custom test sets.

• Run Battery Test

  This selection runs the SPMark battery test. The test runs the tests in a loop until the battery runs out. Note that in order to get correct results, the battery should be fully charged when starting this test. Note also that this test will run until the battery is out (lasting several hours), and the phone can not be used while the battery test is running!

• Show Test Results

  The results from the previous test run are shown with this selection. This selection shows also the battery test result as long as new battery test is run.

• Save Results

  You can save the results by selecting this. After saving the result, you can open it by selecting "Show Test Results". Saving results is also available after test run by pressing "Save".

• System Information

  System Information shows detailed information about your phone. You can for example check your phone’s screen resolution and CPU speed with this.

• Demo

  Starts running the demo of SPMark. The demo runs the 3D Game scene in a loop.

• Help

  Opens the help file.

• About

  Shows information about SPMark.

• Exit

  Exits the program.
