Benchmark Design

VGMark 1.1 is fully compliant with the OpenVG 1.1 API specification and passes all Open VG conformance tests. Content in the benchmark is designed to generate real world vector graphics application workloads that would be found in next generation consumer devices. The benchmark supports gauging and comparing performance of both hardware and software implementations.

Source Code Approach

VGMark 1.1 was developed with source code distribution in mind. Desktop Windows configuration for OpenVG reference implementation is provided as the default binary. Additional configurations will be provided as implementations become available. VGMark 1.1 includes a simple user interface for running the tests; however the tests are primarily intended to be script driven.
