HELSINKI, FINLAND – November 23, 2010 - Futuremark® launched a new competition today offering gamers a chance to win a one-of-a-kind PC gaming case hand-painted with their own design. To enter download the case template from the 3DMark website, create a design inspired by the High Temple scene in 3DMark® 11 and submit it to Futuremark. The grand prize is an Antec Dark Fleet DF-85 case hand-painted with the winning design. Four runners-up will each win an Antec Dark Fleet DF-35 case and Biostar TH67XE motherboard. Futuremark® Keeps People Guessing with New 3DMark® 11 Competition


HELSINKI, FINLAND – November 22, 2010 - With the launch of 3DMark® 11 just a week away Futuremark® today launched a new competition to promote the new DirectX 11 benchmark. The 3DMark 11 Guess the Score contest sees contestants trying to guess how three specific PC gaming systems will score on the upcoming benchmark. For each system the person with the closest guess to the actual score as measured by Futuremark’s test lab team will win the MSI motherboard and graphics card from that system and a copy of 3DMark 11 Advanced Edition. http://www.futuremark.com/guess-the-score/

3DMark 11 Release Date Announced, Pre-ordering Begins

New Trailer Shows Off Latest Tech in DirectX 11 Benchmark


HELSINKI, FINLAND – November 19, 2010 - Futuremark® announced today that 3DMark® 11, the latest version of the industry standard benchmark for real-time 3D graphics, will be released on November 30. 3DMark 11 Advanced Edition priced at $19.95 can be pre-ordered today from http://www.3dmark.com. Futuremark has updated the 3DMark website to highlight the exclusive features in the Advanced Edition and has released a new pre-order preview trailer showing graphical improvements in the Deep Sea and High Temple scenes. A selection of new before and after screenshots demonstrate tessellation, volumetric lighting and other effects created with DirectX 11.

The new 3DMark 11 Pre-order Preview trailer shows off a number of improvements from the previously released work-in-progress tech demo videos. The Deep Sea scene now includes particle effects in the water as submersibles explore the sea bed and discover a sunken World War II submarine. In the High Temple scene the foliage is now animated, the jungle is alive with insects and birds and there are changes in lighting conditions as the sun sets on the mysterious temple.
